As part of her second year Master’s degree in Ecophysiology and Ecotoxicology at Sorbonne University, Janice is currently undertaking a six-month internship within the EcoEvoDevoteam, under the supervision of Laurence BESSEAU and Marc BESSON.
This project focuses on the developmental table of the spiny chromis (Acanthochromis polyacanthus) and the effects of heavy metals on its embryonic development. It involves the study of embryotoxicity biomarkers such as mortality, pigmentation pattern formation, retinal development, cardiac development and heart rate, as well as swimming performance at hatching.
