After a first year of Master’s Degree in Marine Biological Sciences at the University of Western Brittany (UBO) during which she specialized in population biology, Melody performed a one-month volunteer internship during summer 2026 in the EcoEvoDevo team as part of the ANEMOBS project, under the supervision of Marc Besson.

During her internship, Melody’s project aimed at characterizing the impacts of marine heatwaves on Anemonia viridis populations of the Côte Vermeille (South of France). This monitoring allows for the identification of the different snakelocks anemone color-morphs and their associated fauna while snorkeling, as well as the measurement of their size, surface, temperature, depth, and colors with the aim of developing an Anemone Health Chart.

After her time in our team, Melody pursued her studies with the second year of her Master’s Degree.
