Laure Fontimpe

Laure started her PhD 2024, under the supervision of Dr. Raphaël Lami (LBBM) and Dr. Laurence Besseau and Dr. Marc Besson from the EcoEvoDevo team. Laure’s PhD focuses on the interactions between biofouling and larval fishes by studying their settlement kinetics in the context of natural vs artificial habitats, by examining the chemical landscapes in contrasted reef environments, and by investigating fish molecular and behavioral responses when exposed to specific chemical coumpounds extracted from biofouling samples.

Before her PhD, Laure undertook a Master Internship with us, as part of her Master Degree at Sorbonne Université (Ecophysiology and Ecotoxicology Master), during which she studied the effects of copper pollution of the larval recruitment and metamorphosis of the two-banded sea bream, Diplodus vulgaris.
