CHROMIS
Metamorphosis timing and characteristics in the spiny chromis
alex [.] bouvry [at] hotmail [.] fr
Alexandra did a 2-month research internship with us in 2024, during a gap year she took at the end of her Bachelor Degree.
She conducted experiments to examine the best rearing conditions (temperature, oxygenation, density, water renewal frequency) for the in vitro incubation of spiny chromis (Acanthochromis polyacanthus) eggs. She also helped us with the maintenance of our fish husbandry, with the sampling of larval fishes in the field, and with the photography of larval seabreams using a stereomicroscope.
After her internship with us, Alexandra went on to MARBEC laboratory to study the combined effects of organic pollutants on phytoplankton biology and ecology.
