Research

Camille did a 6-month research internship with us in 2025, during the second year of Master Degree at the University of Toulon.

Her project focused on examining the biometrics and endocrinological data of two-banded seabream (Diplodus vulgaris) from 4 contrasted areas of the Port-Vendres harbour, in order to evaluate the effects of the construction of a new commercial pier in the harbor on the ecophysiology of seabreams recruiting in this area. To do so, she participated in the sampling of larval and juvenile fishes, in the photography of larval seabreams using a stereomicroscope, in the analysis of these images using ImageJ (for morphological data), an in-house developed Python script (for pigmentation patterns), and R. Camille also extracted thyroid hormones from these fish samples to examine how TH levels may vary from one site to another.
